Note: This article is a follow up to the introduction video: How to Build a Computer
Ever look at a computer from a store or magazine, and say why can’t I build my own? Next thing you know, you are surfing the web to find out how to build a PC. Well, you came across the perfect place. I will be teaching you how to build a computer with the same specs as my computer. Each computer unfortunately has a different configuration; however, if you watch closely you can apply what you learn to a different computer. A computer is made up of many parts you will need at least 7 parts for this tutorial the 8th will be if you want to have a wireless connection to internet. Oh, and a Philips screwdriver. Wow! Only 8 parts? That’s so easy! No, in fact it is very confusing as to which part will function with the other.
How to build your own computer
To start you need to make sure all of your parts are compatible with each other. To do this requires research in the parts you will buy. I did the research for you and made a build that is not that expensive, and will be able to play most games made today.
Building your own PC, can save you sometimes hundreds of dollars. In fact the past 3 computers I have owned have all been built by me. And i have to say not only is it addicting to build computers it is fun! Especially when everything runs smoothly, and you don’t run into any problems.
Also make sure to buy your parts from a trustworthy source. This is for a couple of reasons, first, most parts come with a warranty. You want to make sure the part you are buying is still under warranty and to buy from someone who is not trustworthy can ruin those chances. Another reason, this one even more important, it is almost impossible to tell if a part is working without trying it out. In fact, even new parts sometimes ship broken, so if you see a shiny new part, it doesn’t mean it’s still working. So, I scared you off? You shouldn’t be, I only wanted to make sure you guys know what you are getting yourself into. I recommend buying from Newegg.com, Amazon.com, and Tigerdirect.com. There are others, but I have only had experience with these 3.
Well, enough with the chit chat. here is the video.
